Combines Jazz, R&B, and Relationship Insights

We are thrilled to announce that the renowned broadcaster, celebrated jazz singer, and captivating storyteller Angela Stribling is bringing her signature radio show, “Pillow Talk with Angela,” to public radio.

Angela is a media veteran. She has captivated eyes, ears, and imaginations as a television host, radio broadcaster, evening news anchorwoman, and voiceover professional. Angela honed her skills at media organizations like WHUR (Howard University’s station in Washington DC), Black Entertainment Television (BET), and Sirius XM. She has a voice made for radio, enhanced by the fact that she is also a jazz vocalist and recording artist.

Pillow Talk with Angela is Angela Stribling’s creation and initially debuted on WHUR. It’s primarily a music show with an ongoing tasteful discussion about relationships from a different angle each week. The show features a carefully curated selection of jazz and R&B classics, perfectly complementing the intimate and engaging conversations on relationships and life.

Angela mixes in comments from listeners and special guests during the short mic breaks. Her personal touch, authenticity, and ability to connect with audiences is what makes this show come alive. Guests include therapists, psychologists, relationship coaches, artists, and entertainers to delve into the complexities of human connections. Comments from everyday people make the show very accessible.

Pillow Talk with Angela is a unique show we’re adding to the AAPRC line-up to think outside the box with alternative content that may support stations seeking to serve African-American and diverse audiences. We invite you to download the show sample below — and feel free to share your feedback.
